Forty-seven drivers showed up to our first event after the Covid-19 outbreak. The day was warm and sunny, but a steady breeze off the water kept things from getting too uncomfortable.
Participants had their temperature taken before entry to the event and all participants wore masks and maintained social distancing both in the pits and at their workstations. Workstations were spread out more with individuals posted at various areas instead of in groups with hand signals given to radio in penalty calls.
The event was run as two heats and participants were able to get in eight total runs before the end of the day.
Big thanks to Geoff LeMoine for blowing the majority of the sand and dirt off the lot the day before the event. Big thanks to all the FCSCC regulars that came out to make the event run successfully and thank to the participants for their cooperation in keeping everyone safe.
